Vietluxtour and Ho Chi Minh city launches new night tour
A new night tour made its debut in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday as part of activities in the ongoing Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week.
The tour will offer visitors a range of services to immerse themselves in various aspects of culture, art, sightseeing, entertainment, night shopping, culinary traditions, and healthcare facilities during their visit to District 1. Notable destinations on the tour include the Saigon Opera House, Ben Thanh Market, and the HCMC Museum of Fine Arts.
This is also one of the new tourism products aiming to exploit the potential for developing the night economy and nightlife tourism in District 1 in particular and Ho Chi Minh City in general, with the goal of attracting more domestic and international holidaymakers to the southern metropolis.
Mr. Tran The Dung, Vietluxtour's General Director, said the tour "District 1: Colors of the Night" is introduced to domestic and international tourists as a specialty tour product of Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to the increasing capacity and competition of city tourism. The company will launch a series of tourism products that launch periodically and will update tour times and destinations in accordance with the actual time of the city.
Mrs. Mai Thi Hong Hoa, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of District 1, said the district has proactively reviewed its tourism resources associated with famous cultural and historical values to develop a plan for connecting and developing tour itineraries.
Night tourism products will help stipulate visitors’ demand for commercial services in District 1, contributing to promoting the city’s economic development, she said.
Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa, Vice Director of the Municipal Department of Tourism, said each district in Ho Chi Minh City plans to develop a night tour as part of a joint effort to diversify tourism products in the locality.
District 1, which is likened to the "heart" of Ho Chi Minh City, is a key locality for tourism development with strengths in accommodation and dining facilities, he added.
