The Gao Cao Festival of Tram Tau District (Yen Bai) will take place in early January 01 December
The People's Committee of Tram Tau District, Yen Bai Province, will hold the 2023 Mong Tsang Hau Tox Festival on January 6–7 at the District Stadium.
The ceremony of erecting and lowering the tree mentioned in this Gou Cao Festival will be presided over by the Ban Mu Commune People's Committee. Mong Giang A Su ethnic elite artisans will be the consultants, organizers, and implementers of activities from the afternoon of January 6th to January 7th.
In the festival are special musical programs, including the following performances: singing, cowardly dance, and performing traditional musical instruments performed by artisans and actors from communes and towns. Traditional sports activities such as tug of war, pushing sticks, paddleboarding, badminton, pounding competitions, etc. are all traditional sports of the Hmong Tram Tau people.
The Mong ethnic community of Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province, continues to preserve and maintain Gau Cao, a traditional festival of the Hmong people. According to the concept, this is an opportunity for people to thank the gods, ask heaven and earth to give their children health and luck to do business, and pray for favorable rain and good harvests.
