There is diver habitats including mangroves, wetlands, salt mash, mud flat and sea grasses as a “green lung” of the industrial city, Ho Chi Minh City as they are daily absorb carbon dioxide and polluted agents. There are 52 true and associate mangrove species, 200 animal species, hundreds of fish, crab, shrimp species and benthos. Over 40 bird species including shore birds and migratory species have been found in this biosphere reserve. The mangrove forest gives a lot of ecological services including protecting the shore lines, extension of mud flats and as a “green wall’ to protect the city from storm surges, typhoons and sea level rise.

MORNING DEPARTURE
  • Pick up at your hotel (district 1, 3 only) @ 8.30AM then we depart for Can Gio.
  • It takes us around an hour drive to Nha Be where we take local ferry across Saigon River. Then we continue our way to Can Gio. On arrival we visit to this site including mangrove forest, monkey Island and Sac Forest, the former base of Vietnamese fighters during American and Viet Nam War.
  • Lunch at local restaurant.
  • Late afternoon return Ho Chi Minh City. End of services.
